As part of our commitment to improve our carbon foot print, Sharmic recently undertook a new building energy assessment and after which, successfully obtained grant fuding from the EU Business Energy Efficiency Programme to replace a deteriorating and poorly insulated roof with modern insulated materials. A local contractor from Leominster was employed to undertake the project which was completed at the end of April 2018. The new roof was also installed with 10% translucent roof lights allowing the warehouse to use natural sunlight so not to be fully dependent on electrical lighting during daylight hours.
